Placing a Flame Genie Fireback on the back wall of your fireplace shields masonry from 1/3 of the heat that would otherwise cause deterioration while radiating more heat and reflecting more light from the fire into the room. The stainless steel construction is lighter weight than cast iron allowing for easier placement. Slotted base allows for adjustable installation from 65 to 90 degrees. The black painted finish on the fireback may peel or crack due to extreme heat. Firebacks may be cleaned, lightly sanded, and painted with high temperature paint. Made in the USA.
